Full Job Description:
Required: Graduate of an approved Medical Office Assistant Program or appropriate on the job training in a medical office setting. One year of experience in a physician office setting. Individual must have strong clinical skills, be proficient with medical terminology.
Job Summary: Responsible for performing clinical/secretarial and general office duties in an outpatient setting. Ability to meet age-specific needs; i.e. adolescent, adult, geriatric. Accompany patients to exam/procedure room. Assist patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam, etc. Collect patient information/history; taking vitals, performing screenings per provider guidelines. Relay instructions to patients/families. Prepare patient rooms, set up instruments and equipment according to office protocol. Clean exam/procedure rooms, instruments and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection controls. Perform EKG’s. Perform clinic procedures according to policy and procedure. Assist physicians with procedures. Document patient information into the medical record.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is required. * Successful completion of Medical Assistant program preferred or equivalent hospital program. Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
- Schedule: Full-time- Daylight/rotating Evening Hours (Monday thru Friday) – Hours are subject to change

Full Job Description:
Duties include, but are not limited to: assisting physician with all aspects of patient needs for the office visit, phone triage, office visit intake, vital signs, injections, EKG’s, counseling patients with medication and/or prescriptions, perform various office testing as ordered by the physician, maintain office equipment, and perform various clerical functions as needed in the day-to-day operation of the office. Current, valid LPN license and CPR certification is required. One year related experience and/or training is preferred.
